I'm not too proud to admit when I've made a mistake.

I could delete the above posts, having resolved this quietly behind the scenes, shut up and pretend this didn't happen until it's forgotten in a week, but I won't.

I could blame it on my limited perspective or a series of miscommunications and both would be correct, but it wouldn't mean I didn't make an error. Secroduz and I have spoken at length to unravel the layers of confusion that led to my error.

Ultimately although I thought I was right, I wasn't, which means I was too quick on the draw. That's on me.

Posting as a heads up/so that I won't forget to do so later.

Will be on a complete LOA, little to no contact with anyone, from June 1st to August 27th (give or take).

Before then I'll still be available.
 
I was hoping to get this out some 2 weeks ago when we wrapped up TRP but I guess it's better late than never.

After... 8 years of being here I guess now is as good of a time as any to announce that I'm leaving, for good this time.


This last iteration's made it clear that I was way too optimistic when Gang first approached me during HLNA about coming back and that as much as I'd like to I don't have the energy left to deal with these things anymore. Between the drama, toxicity and amount of bullshit that went on and on I'm about as close to done as I'm going to get.

So rather than to stick it out and ultimately burn out during the next planning phase I'm cutting my losses early and leaving on what I like to consider as good of a note as possible.

I'll refrain from airing any dirty laundry in here because ultimately I still give a damn about this place and it's not worth it to start calling people out. You know who you are, go fuck yourselves.

For the rest of you: If you want to have a chat about tnb, gmod, anime or whatever I'll probably stick around on discord for the rest of the day, after that you can just hit me up at TankNut#2086, I probably won't bite.

secroduz secroduz removed from staff following a report made on him for poor behavior and misuse of admin privileges.

I want to quickly say that this has nothing to do with the previous removal and this was a decision made by the RDA team, not by anyone else including Pirate or Floki.
 
Chiss Chiss ascends to Team Lead.

We have also elected to sort of homogenize the Team Lead role, so that rather than focusing on just one division of the staff team they hold equal sway over both - comparable to super admins of yore. A third will be added soon.

Also, we are still looking to beef up the team for launch. If you are interested, please get in touch with myself or Floki to be put forward. Understand that there are activity and behavioral standards that will be upheld. Please, if you do not have the time or energy to dedicate, do not volunteer.
 
I’m back,

Life hit me like a freight train last week and it was incredibly stressful. My grandfather got diagnosed with colon and liver cancer and he’s 93 so he’s chosen to go into hospice. Found this out the week before my graduation from college.

It sucks. But I’m here and I’ve processed it. Give me a shout if you guys need anything.

stepping away from the stalker team for the forseeable future due to Life

it's absolutely my favorite setting and i have been very excited through the planning process, but i just graduated college and landed what is essentially my dream job; i thought i'd be living at home and working it and be able to play, but yesterday they called and asked me to fly out to the launch site for the next few months (likely until the end of the year) to help them get the rocket off the ground and that's not an opportunity i can pass up

unfortunately i'll likely be leaving all my stuff at home while i'm out there, so i will have neither the time or ability to rp :[ i'll stick around the forums and will be keeping up with all the stalker screenshots and can't wait to participate once we get this rocket to space!

Due to real life concerns, woldking2 woldking2 steps down.

I'm in the same boat as Dougal, even though my excuse isn't as cool as his (I'm working in city administration). I'm currently working full time while also going to graduate school more than full time, and I have a lot less free time than I expected. I don’t want to take up a spot on the team that I know could be filled by someone just as passionate about Stalker who has more time to commit than me.

I was happy to be a part of planning, and am super hopeful for this sever. The team’s great, the scripts great, and all the players I interacted with when I was on the server were great. I’m really hopeful that you guys are going to make something special. I’m excited to hop on as a player when I have some more free time. Good luck!

We are better for having had yall & the door remains open to both of you when or if you have time to swing back around.
